Rocks
Wind, rain, and ice wear down rocks into soil. The shapes left behind (at least temporarily) are sometimes breathtaking, like at Bryce Canyon, Utah. Soil dust can be carried on the wind thousands of miles, oftentimes providing nutrients that sustain forests and crop lands.
Scientists have figured that dust from the Sahara Desert in Africa was carried through the air and was deposited thousands of miles away in Barbados, Jamaica, and Haiti across the Atlantic Ocean, and even as far as Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. Have you seen any cool rock formations?
