Water Cycle
The water cycle, also known as the hydrologic cycle, shows how water is continuously moved above and below the surface of the earth. It shows how water is evaporated from bodies of water such as oceans and rivers and turned into precipitation such as rain or snow. There is no beginning or end to the water cycle, but a continuous, never-ending movement of water throughout the earth.
When you drink water from a fountain at school, how old do you think it is? Although the water from the fountain may have just fallen out of the sky a few days ago, that same water has been around since dinosaurs roamed the earth! Just think, the water from the fountain may have been from the same lakes that dinosaurs drank from millions of years ago.
